Ageless International Film Festival

November 18

The Ageless International Film Festival (AIFF) kicks off its 2nd annual festival. Running from Thursday, November 18th to Sunday November 21st, AIFF is a unique fi lm festival that focuses the lens on the lives and experiences of older adults. This exciting focus explores cinematic works that reframe our understanding of aging, hoping to spark important intergenerational conversations.“This edition is bigger and bolder; the curated films continue to challenge assumptions about older adults,” states Executive Director and co-founder Judy Gladstone.
95-year-old co-founder of the festival, Sylvia Lustgarten, expressed her delight “with the exciting line-up of filmmakers and experts who will participate in thought-provoking discussions following the screenings. Confronting ageism is long overdue.’This year’s festival will open with a discussion between the director and subject of “Dear Aubrey” on the eve of its world premiere, including sneak peaks of footage, a scene that did not make it into the film, and a description on of how the composer made his choices. Vic Sarin, celebrated director and cinematographer, will be honoured at the Fireside Chat. The closing night is the twenty-year-old classic “The Mother”, by the recently deceased Roger Michell, starring a young, bearded Daniel Craig and Anne Reid.

The Ageless International Film Festival is open to everyone, and access to this program is available on a sliding scale where you are invited to pay what you can.
