Event: Using Technology to Fight Dementia
September 21 @ 11:00 pm - 5:00 pm PDT
Innovative technologies represent an exciting cutting edge solution to support people living with dementia and their caregivers, expanding the possibilities for living a meaningful, dignified life alongside this increasingly common cognitive disease. Technology can help people living with dementia stay in their homes more comfortably and for longer, improve safety, and support breaking down stigma.
This session explores how technology can and does improve the lives of people living with dementia and their caregivers, engaging participants in an educational and inspiring dialogue about a fast-growing issue.
This session will be moderated by Laura Tamblyn Watts, CEO of CanAge (Canada’s National Seniors’ Advocacy Organization) and feature guest speaker Scott Russell, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto.
