The Future of Aging in Canada Symposium

June 8 @ 4:00 pm - 12:00 pm PDT

The Federal/Provincial/Territorial Ministers Responsible for Seniors Forum is hosting a virtual symposium to explore the issues facing seniors today. This symposium will bring together experts, practitioners and researchers from across the country to share new approaches and promising practices in support of healthy aging.

With the support of four national organizations—AGE-WELL; the Canadian Association on Gerontology; the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse; and United Way-Centraide Canada—participants will examine issues highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including:

  • social isolation among seniors;
  • technology to support seniors aging in community;
  • research and innovation in healthy aging; and
  • elder abuse.
