United Way of the Lower Mainland ("United Way" or “us” or “we”) grants you a limited non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and make personal use of this website for non-commercial use, provided this website is not modified or downloaded (other than page caching) unless expressly authorized by United Way. You will be fully responsible for any consequences resulting from any use. This license does not include any right for resale or commercial use of this website or its content. No derivative use of this website or its contents or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data-gathering and extraction tools is permitted. Any unauthorized use of this website will terminate the license and all the limited rights or permission granted by United Way.

If you choose to make a donation to United Way you authorize United Way and its agents to deduct any donation and fees you approve by using the donation tool. In addition to these Terms of Use, some donation tools and other tools are subject to a separate additional license terms of use which are as published by the tool.

Any use beyond the scope permitted by these Terms of Use requires express written permission from United Way.

14. HotJar on Healthy Aging CORE BC

Healthy Aging CORE uses Hotjar in order to better understand our users' needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users' experience (e.g., how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don't like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar is not designed to track individual users although it does use cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users' behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.
