[CoP Gathering] Inspiration from Educators

event and training image

Come join us as we share the wonderful IG work being done across Canada and plan together how we can make dreams a reality!

Cori Brandt

School Counsellor, Calgary Catholic School Division

Every time Cori transitions to a different Junior High School, she starts another Intergenerational Club. She will share her inspiration and passion for intergenerational programs and friendships. You will hear how she motivates the students and nearby residences to participate.

Abby Karos and Jenn Williams

Intergenerational Co-Lab, Wakefield, Quebec

In this interactive session, Jenn Williams and Abby Karos tell the story and design of the Intergenerational Co-Lab—an experimental pilot that brings together Grade 6 students and local elders to work on real community challenges. They will share key moments, surprises, and lessons from the pilot—what worked, what didn’t, and what they’re still figuring out.

Intergenerational CoP meetings run monthly from September to June every year. Everyone is welcome. In these meetings, we dive into building Intergenerational Connections and share some impactful and inspiring stories! It’s a relaxed and welcoming space to share ideas, ask questions, and be inspired by the power of generations coming together. You can also join us in the CORE Intergenerational CoP space on CORE Alberta and CORE National platforms to have discussions, connect with others, share IG resources, and view our past event recordings.
