[Funding] Climate Change and Health Capacity Building Program: HealthADAPT
Health Canada is currently accepting funding applications related to the following priorities:
- Conducting assessments, plans and interventions
- This priority renews the first phase of HealthADAPT and focusses on conducting or updating a health and climate change vulnerability assessment and/or adaptation plan.
- Implementing and scaling
- Having done a health and climate change vulnerability assessment or adaptation plan, this priority focusses on:
- implementing specific interventions to reduce the health impacts of climate change, including adapting an existing intervention to new settings, populations or geographic locations
- assessing the effectiveness of an existing intervention
- implementing interventions that simultaneously protect health, reduce costs and improve sustainability
- Health sector guidance, training and network building
- This priority focusses on creating and delivering training and education programs for the health sector. These programs will support planning and deployment of professional and human resource capacity for building climate resilient and low carbon health systems.
