Help Canadians live a smoke-free life

 

The third full week of January marks National Non-Smoking Week, a time to reflect on the benefits of a smoke-free life. If you smoke, quitting is one of the best things you can do for your health. Equipping people who smoke with the right tools and supports can encourage them to explore their options, make a plan, and improve their chances of quitting.

 

We’re reaching out to your organization to ask for your support in sharing tobacco cessation resources within your networks and communities. These resources reinforce that quitting is possible and that combining effective approaches improves the chances of success.

 

Health Canada’s Tools for a Smoke-Free Life campaign launched in mid-November. The campaign encourages adults who smoke, aged 35 and over, to learn more about the array of tools and supports that can help them quit smoking. Our resources include empowering testimonials of people who have successfully quit smoking, The messaging reinforces that quitting is possible and that combining effective approaches improves one’s chances of success.
