Recognizing and Preventing Sexual Assault in Later Life
A recent case of domestic violence and sexual assault of an older woman in Nova Scotia shocked many readers when it was covered in Saltwire. It was a reminder that domestic violence affects women across the life course and that sexual violence against older people is not as rare as we would like to believe.
Talking about sexual assault and knowing what to do can be difficult. In 2020 CNPEA published a set of resources to help you recognize, address, and prevent sexual abuse.
