resource image

With the federal government commitment to a National Caregiver Strategy, and the work already occurring across the country to better support family caregivers as partners in care, you don't want to miss this webinar with Dr. Jasneet Parmar, Project Lead and Glenda Tarnowski, Growth and Partnerships for the Caregiver-Centered Care Initiative at the University of Alberta. Family caregivers play an integral role in a functional and sustainable healthcare system, yet they are often under recognized and under supported by it. The Caregiver-Centered Care Initiative at the University of Alberta, Dept. of Family Medicine has developed award-winning, competency-based education for health and social care providers and leaders. The education supports the development of the knowledge, skills, and ability to recognize, partner, and support family caregivers in practice. Join us and learn why it is imperative to value and support family caregivers as a critical component of health system transformation. Together, we can build a better system of support for family caregivers to improve their well-being, inclusion, and ability to sustain caring. Additional information and access to Caregiver-Centered Care Education for the Health Workforce is available at: www.caregivercare.ca.
