[Video] Dementia-inclusive Streets and Community Access, Participation and Engagement
This video showcases the experiences of three study participants: two in Metro Vancouver and 1 dyad in Prince George to highlight how real people living with dementia wayfind, feel safe, and enjoy meaningful interactions in their neighbourhoods. The purpose of this video is: 1. to educate on the role of built environment as an essential component of Dementia-inclusive communities; 2. to challenge stereotypes of what it means to be a person living with dementia in Canadian communities; and 3. to inspire action that includes persons living with dementia in municipal decision-making and planning processes.
