On June 11, 2020, Healthy Aging CORE hosted this recorded webinar on Motivational Interviewing with panelist Philipp Santiago, the Clinical Lead for Occupational Therapy and Mental Health & Substance Use for Rehabilitation & Recovery Services at Fraser Health.

It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.
Learning Objectives of the webinar include:
Understanding the basic principles of Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Becoming familiar with core techniques and strategies used in MI
Discussing ways to implement use of MI into dialogue with program participants
Discussing ways to involve staff in a team approach to using MI in clinical practice
