2025 Social Purpose Real Estate National Accelerator Program

The Infrastructure Institute is excited to share that in partnership with the Community Housing Transformation Centre and United Way Greater Toronto, they are launching the Social Purpose Real Estate (SPRE) National Accelerator. This initiative is an expansion of their current program Groundwork: SPRE Accelerator. 

Initially focused on the Greater Toronto Area and now expanding nation-wide, the SPRE Accelerator supports mission-driven organizations through networking, capacity-building and professional support, in the development of thoughtful and realistic development proposals that can supply the missing housing, services and other social infrastructure needed in our communities. 

The SPRE National Accelerator will take place virtually between October 2025 to May 2026 and will be focused on supporting mission-driven organizations across Canada who want to build community centered real estate projects.

Applications are open between August 11, 2025 to September 15, 2025.

Details:

The Accelerator program is a 6 month program consisting of:

• Programming from October 23 2025 – May 7 2026
• 2-Hour Bi-weekly online sessions
• Access to a program website with resources & materials to support further learning
• The program will be conducted in English

Eligibility:

The Accelerator Program is open to all groups that are:

• Able to commit to the full 6-month program
• A registered charity or nonprofit organization;  
• Based in Canada (with the exception of Quebec);  
• Have a confirmed project site, partnership, or funding for the project
