event and training image
Please join on Monday, April 11 as guest speaker, Dan Levitt, looks into the opportunities that come with an aging population. Co-hosted by Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) and the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada). In this presentation, guest speaker, Dan Levitt, will take a closer look at the opportunities that come with an aging population, combatting ageism and promoting healthy living. The audience will explore the broader societal view: how we need to adapt our public policies, our institutions, our social structure, and our infrastructure to make these longer lives enriching and fulfilling. This interactive talk lays out a framework for doing that, and inspires the audience with recent examples of age reimagined in Canada and around the world. Participants will leave the session with key takeaways, it’s not about aging, or adding years to the end of our lives, it’s about living – creating a bold new path to living your best life. After the presentation, there will be an online discussion and a Q&A exchange led by Ofelia Guanlao, Senior Program Manager, Asset Management Services at CHF Canada. She will also be providing an introduction to CHF Canada’s new Aging in Place Exchange Network along with Thom Armstrong, CEO at CHF BC who will be providing an overview of CHF BC’s Aging in Place Committee.
